The Greening family
represent 4 generations that have lived on Anglin Lake and were the
first family to own property on Anglin Lake. The present operation was
started in the 70's when Jack and Alice Greening opened Jacobsen Bay
Outfitters, which has since expanded into Land of the Loon Resort, operated
by Deb Greening, Dylan Greening and Tim Dodds. The group is
proud of it's history in the area and is committed to offering low impact
family experiences to guests from around the world. We believe strongly
in the natural beauty of our home and are dedicated to maintaining a
          quiet, serene, family oriented operation.

Anglin Lake is located in the geographic centre of the province of Saskatchewan,
Canada. Although Saskatchewan is best known for it's farmland, the province
is actually 70% forest. We are located in what is called the transitional
zone, where grassland mixes with boreal forest producing an awesome
beauty and providing the traveler with a great variety of sight seeing
          and nature viewing opportunities.

Anglin Lake has one of the largest populations of nesting loons in North
America for a lake it's size, so if you love Loons you'll feel right
at home. During the summer season these magical birds serenade us with
their ancient songs, providing a gentle nightly lullaby.
Of course wildlife viewing is prime in this area, whether your photo
skills range from amateur to pro, if you're lucky you may just get a
chance to photograph bear, deer, beaver, moose, elk and an assortment
of birds too vast to describe here.

Anglin Lake is a chain of 6 lakes connected be a series of passable
channels and waterways. This makes for outstanding canoeing and kayaking.
We have a full range of rental equipment to outfit all your needs. Although
Anglin is not considered a "trophy" lake, the fishing is consistently
good, with Pike, Pickerel and Perch being caught both summer and winter.

For those star gazers out there, we have intentionally avoided large
amounts of outside artificial lighting. This gives our guests a true
picture of what's going on in the heavens, with nightly displays of
stellar proportions. Of course the Northern Lights, or "Aurora
Borealis", are also seen regularly here at Anglin Lake during certain
          times of the year.
The Prince Albert National Park, part
of Canada's National Park System, is located 15 minutes North of Land
of the Loon. The park offers excellent hiking, biking and historic day
trip activities. Also, for the golfer among you, Anglin Lake is within
a short drive of 3 fantastic golf courses, as well as a wonderful family
par 3 course, offering great scenery and challenges to golfers of all
          skill levels.

We are dedicated to providing outstanding service to our guests, and
are proud to be able to offer unique holidays to families, groups and
individuals. Whether it is a romantic getaway, a corporate retreat,
or a family vacation, Land of the Loon Resort can accommodate all of
          your needs.

Thank you for your interest, and we look forward to seeing you all in
          the future.
